Calhoun County Busted Mugshots is a private reference service, not a government office and not part of the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, Calhoun County Jail, or Illinois Department of Corrections. It cannot confirm custody or release status, release anyone, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. For a current answer, contact the government office that holds the record.
Where Calhoun Records Are Held
Sheriff Zach Hardin’s office is the first local contact for county arrest, booking, jail, inmate-log, custody, and photograph questions. The county describes the office as open 24 hours. Call before visiting because the published mailing boxes and office duties can change, and a receiving jail may be outside Calhoun County.

Written requests may be mailed, emailed, faxed, or delivered in person. No separate FOIA counter hours are published, so confirm a personal-delivery visit by phone.
A FOIA form is optional. Describe existing records with a person or case identifier and date range, and ask for electronic copies when available. The county says it normally responds within five business days unless a lawful extension applies. Its FOIA instructions and optional request form explain the local process and copy charges.
Use these routes for the type of question involved:
- For a recent booking, county custody question, booking photo, or records request, use the Calhoun County booking and records home page. No verified public roster, same-day booking feed, or standing most-wanted portal was located.
- For warrant context or a dated Sheriff wanted notice, use Wanted Fugitives, then call the Sheriff or consult the court before taking action.
- For a news report or selected local arrest story, use Arrest News. News coverage is not a complete arrest list and does not replace the source agency or court.
- For a sentenced or otherwise state-held person, use the official Illinois Department of Corrections offender search. IDOC is not the ordinary Calhoun County booking channel.
- For a court case, hearing, or disposition, contact the Calhoun County Circuit Clerk or search the Judici Calhoun court portal.
- For federal custody or immigration detention, check the Bureau of Prisons locator or the ICE Online Detainee Locator. Neither is a Calhoun County roster or public mugshot source.
- No separate current city or facility roster was verified for Hardin, Kampsville, or Batchtown. Ask the Sheriff which receiving jail holds the person rather than relying on an invented municipal portal.
